What is the Wim Hof Method?
The Wim Hof Method is made for people like you and me; people trying to increase their quality of life to just feel better.
If you wound up here, that means you're probably a stranger to the method, so welcome!
Let me (and Wim!) break it down for you.
Who is Wim Hof?
Wim Hof, simply put, it a crazy dutchman with a calling. At a young age, he always felt drawn to the cold. He didn't know why, but all he knew was that it made him feel good.
Over the years, Wim felt that he could influence & steer parts of his autonomic nervous system.
The Autonomic Nervous System includes the endocrine [hormonal] system, immune system, and cardiovascular system.
Wim however thought he was nothing special; he always said that anybody can do what he does if trained properly. He claimed that the textbooks were wrong, and that we can tap into the autonomic nervous system and control our well-being.
For 30 years, the scientific community ridiculed him, saying that it was impossible to influence the autonomic nervous system. It wasn't until 2015 when scientists at the Radboud University performed an endotoxin study on him to see if his claims were true.
You can watch the study and results below:
As you can see, Wim was right. Testing himself and a group of trainees against a control group proved that the Wim Hof Method can indeed allow anybody to access their autonomic nervous system; Wim's claims were finally validated.
This has led to a plethora of other studies to further validate his claims that can be found across the internet.
Okay, This Guy Sounds Pretty Cool. Now What is the Method He Developed?

2. Breathing Exercise
Through a specific breathing protocol developed by Wim, anyone is able to increase their oxygen levels while simultaneously decrease their C02 levels.
This is the key to more energy, reduced stress levels, and a boosted immune system.
3. Gradual Cold Exposure
Gradually exposing yourself to the cold accompanied by unique breathing techniques releases a plethora of health benefits, including:
- Significant reduction of inflammation
- Buildup of brown fat which in turns burns white fat
- Balancing out hormones in the brain & body
- Improved quality of sleep
- Natural production & release of endorphins.
Separate, all of these techniques are powerful; the magic happens when properly combine the 3.
